Women Against State Pension Inequality at Cannon Park

The Women Against State Pension Inequality (WASPI) are coming to Cannon Park this Saturday 26th October.

The WASPI Campaign is fighting for justice for all women born in the 1950s (on or after 6th April 1950 to 5th April 1960) affected by the changes to the State Pension Age (SPA).

The 1995 Conservative Government’s State Pension Act included plans to increase women’s state pension age from 60 to 65 so that it was the same as men’s.

WASPI agrees with equalisation, but does not agree with the unfair way the changes were implemented, with inadequate or no notice.

WASPI campaigners will be on site between 12:00pm and 2:00pm and will be available to provide further information and answer any questions you may have.
